Erin’s Cyclocross
Cyclocross
The original plan was to keep this sucker under wraps and show it at Minnecycle without paint, but with its full build kit attached. That did not happen, as I ran out of acetylene at 4:30 in the morning. This bike is for Erin Young, my first sponsored racer.
Most of the clean-up work has been done — I just need to get the seatstays and rear brake bridge on, braze the fork together, and then get it off to the painter. I expect I’ll be able to do that on or around October 3rd/4th.
The bike is a set of Long Shen long-point oversized lugs, and primarily Columbus Zona (with Life seatstays). Cable routing is across the top of the tube tube to protect the cabling from mud and to keep the bottom side of the top tube free from clutter that would make shouldering the bike painful.
