Andrew’s frame was my white whale — it nearly killed me. Everything that could go wrong with this build…did. In the end, though, she turned out beautifully. The frame’s a mix of True Temper Platinum OX, Reynolds 853, and a few small bits of heat-treated 4130, and uses Black Cat swinging dropouts for spoke tensioning.

Seriously, I nearly threw in the towel, I was so frustrated with this build. But, in the end, she became a beautiful bike. I’m looking forward to getting pics from Andrew with the full build kit.
